YES on 522 Phone Bank

A veer away from visual matters & photography to food matters food for thought.

In 2010,  our President Obama’s choice of cabinet members, was perplexing given his statements
I felt I knew where it would lead us, & sadly it has led us here we have to plead to get genetically modified food and produce labeled.

Please, please HELP us say YES on 522 or it’s going to happen again people, just like California’s prop 37.
Corporate giants are trying to squash OUR right to know via labels, if we don’t do something 522 will be defeated by the likes of Monsanto, Dow, Dupont, 3M, Clorox,
(seriously now, the new owners of Burt’s Bees) General Mills, Kelloggs, Pepsi Co. Coke a Cola, Unilever, McDonald’s on & on, don’t let them win.
We the people of the US will not know, we will not have labels, what the EU and other parts of the world already have we will lose the right to, the right to KNOW!

If genetically engineered organisms are safe lets Label them, that is all we ask.

In the interim please join us in asking President Obama to do what he said, label gmo foods and produce.

Thanks for your time & good luck to us all.

Those monster multinational corporations who oppose the measure say that “labelling is incomplete”.  That it’s not useful given that over half the food sold wouldn’t be covered.  Don’t be fooled by them – they would oppose labelling on…

Organic Consumers Association

Organic Consumers Association.

President Obama has taken his team of food and farming leaders directly from the biotech companies and their lobbying, research, and philanthropic arms.

Michael Taylor, former Monsanto Vice President, is now the FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods.

Roger Beachy, former director of the Monsanto-funded Danforth Plant Science Center, is now the director of the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

Islam Siddiqui, Vice President of the Monsanto and Dupont-funded pesticide-promoting lobbying group, CropLife, is now the Agriculture Negotiator for the US Trade Representative.

Rajiv Shah, former agricultural-development director for the pro-biotech Gates Foundation (a frequent Monsanto partner), served as Obama’s USDA Under Secretary for Research Education and Economics and Chief Scientist and is now head of USAID.

Elena Kagan, who, as President Obama’s Solicitor General, took Monsanto’s side against organic farmers in the Roundup Ready alfalfa case, is now on the Supreme Court.

Ramona Romero, corporate counsel to DuPont, has been nominated by President Obama to serve as General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
